The Otway Soap story begins back in 2005 when my son was born. Being sensitive to commercial soaps, it made us realise how questionable commercial soap can be. The chemicals and processes used to make the soap you see on the supermarket shelves, simply isn’t soap anymore.
So the journey began, from making simple bars of soap from ingredients available at the local supermarket, to the luscious bars of soap we create today.
Our passion has grown into making the finest natural artisan soap, that will leave you feeling clean and rejuvenated. The products we create are hand crafted using only natural ingredients and scented using only essential oils. Our connection with the magic of the surrounding forest and ocean of the Otways comes through in our products. Offering you a little bit of it’s magic to take home. We take great pride in creating products that you will love and adore. Being gentle and soothing on your skin. Except for our Rough Nuts bars which are a natural alternative to commercial Solvol.
Here at Otway soap we strive to create our products from ethically sourced ingredients that are made and sourced in Australia where it’s possible. Free of harmful chemicals, sustainable and cruelty free!
We also believe in supporting local, sourcing ingredients from the around the Otways area where possible. This not only supports the local community but also reduces the environmental impacts of transportation and packaging.
